Want to work for a green company? Check out the tech sector. IBM, Google and others are leading the way with their commitments to green jobs. If you’re looking for a new job, but you’re also a friend of the environment, there could be a perfect position for you in the tech sector. More than ever before, tech companies are committed to sustainability — they’re developing greener devices, increasing the life cycle of products and developing meaningful partnerships. In fact, seven of the top 10 green companies are in the tech sector, and IBM leads the way, with a greenscore of 82.5%. This year, there will be more than 3 million green jobs in America, helping the “green economy” surge past the “regular economy.” Another benefit of going green in the job hunt? It can also bring you more green — wages are 13% higher for green jobs than for the average American job.
